Delegations from the European Union, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Norway and the United Kingdom have reached agreement on fishing opportunities for mackerel, blue whiting and Atlanto-Scandian herring in the waters of the North-East Atlantic for 2024, the European Commission announced on Monday 23 October.
For these three stocks, the total allowable catches (TACs) for 2024 are in line with advice from the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES).
