EU extends sanctions against Da’esh and Al-Qaeda for another year

23/10/23 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 23 October, the EU Council adopted a decision extending for one year, until 31 October 2024, the EU’s restrictive measures against ISIL/Da’esh and Al-Qaeda and associated natural and legal persons, groups, undertakings and entities. This sanctions regime currently applies to 14 individuals and five groups, who are subject to an asset freeze and a ban on entering EU territory.
