“renewable-friendly” Member States propose measures to European Commission for rapid expansion of renewable energies

In a joint statement to the European Commission published on Sunday 22 October, the “Friends of Renewables” group - comprising Austria, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands and Portugal - called for the expansion of renewable energies to be speeded up and for the necessary framework conditions to be created.
