EU ministers hope to agree on 2024 quotas for cod, herring and salmon in Baltic on 24 October

On Tuesday 24 October in Luxembourg, the EU fisheries ministers are hoping to reach a political agreement on the total allowable catches (TACs) and quotas for 2024 in the waters of the Baltic Sea. The discussions, due to start on Monday 23, will focus on certain TACs for herring, salmon and cod.

On 19 September and 17 October, the European Commission published (in two non-public working documents) its proposals on TACs and quotas for 2024 in the Baltic Sea (see EUROPE B13237A2).
