Fluorinated gases, European Parliament and EU Council reach provisional political agreement

At the end of their fourth interinstitutional meeting, negotiators from the Council of the EU and the European Parliament reached a provisional agreement on the regulation of fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases) on Thursday 5 October. This agreement follows the European Commission’s proposal of 5 April 2022 (see EUROPE B12926A3) to amend Directive (EU) 2019/1937 and repeal Regulation (EU) No 517/2014.
