03/10/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 3 October, the European Commission opened a consultation with a view to drafting its delegated act on European cybersecurity certification schemes, under the Regulation on ENISA (the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity) and on information and communications technology cybersecurity certification (2019/881). The Commission’s initiative aims to establish a European scheme based on common criteria. On a voluntary basis, the Commission wishes to introduce security requirements for ICT products, such as firewalls, encryption and electronic signature devices, in order to guarantee a higher level of security.
