EU to contribute €127 million in budget and migration support

On Friday 22 September, the European Commission announced that almost €127 million will be made available to support the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding with Tunisia and in line with the 10-point plan recently agreed with the Italian government in Lampedusa, an island facing an influx of migrants from Tunisia (see EUROPE B13252A7).

The money will be distributed as follows: €60 million in budget support for Tunisia and around €67 million for operational assistance...
