19/09/23 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 18 September, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78 in New York), the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen, announced the selection of 60 members and 10 observers for the Business Advisory Group for the EU’s Global Gateway strategy. This group brings together CEOs and senior executives from European companies and trade associations. It will help the Commission to foster cooperation with the European private sector. Presented at UNGA 78 as a means of accelerating progress towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Global Gateway strategy is expected to mobilise €300 billion of investment in digital infrastructure, transport, clean energy and health projects in partner countries by 2027. The EU is counting on the participation of the private sector to achieve this. Find out more about the group members: https://aeur.eu/f/8nj (AN)
