28/08/23 (Agence Europe) – SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Endurance, with four Crew-7 astronauts on board, including European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Andreas Mogensen, docked with the International Space Station on Sunday 27 August, the ESA announced. The mission left NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on 26 August. Andreas Mogensen piloted the Crew Dragon, a first for a European driver. Mr Mogensen will remain on board the Space Station for a six-month mission - called Huginn - during which he will conduct more than 30 European experiments and technological demonstrations on subjects ranging from climate and health to space research. In mid-September, he will become commander of the Space Station and will remain so for just over five months - a record for a European astronaut, according to the ESA. (CG)
