EBA collects data from institutions on environmental, social and governance risks in order to set up a monitoring system

18/07/23 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 18 July, the European Banking Authority (EBA) announced that it would be collecting environmental, social and governance (ESG) data from large listed institutions on an ad hoc basis, based on their quantitative information on ESG risks (see EUROPE B13200A14). This collection will provide competent authorities with data to monitor ESG risks and enable EBA to put in place a risk monitoring framework and contribute to the European Commission’s strategy...
