On Tuesday 18 July, members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) held a hearing with the European Commissioner for Competition, Margrethe Vestager, following the controversial appointment of Fiona Scott Morton as Chief Economist of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (see EUROPE B13224A7).
