Spanish Presidency of EU Council to make completion of Capital Markets Union one of its top priorities

The Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU has announced that it intends to make the dossiers relating to the completion of the Capital Markets Union (see EUROPE B13196A22) one of its top priorities during its term of office. By 31 December, it intends to finalise the inter-institutional negotiations (‘trilogues’) on certain texts and reach a general approach by the Council of the EU on several others.
