Commission announces one-year extension of agreement on reduction of roaming charges between EU and Ukraine

10/07/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 10 July, the European Commission announced the extension, for a further 12 months, of the agreement between 22 EU telecoms operators and seven Ukrainian operators aimed at reducing roaming charges. The agreement, which was originally signed in April 2022 (see EUROPE B12929A3), is intended in particular to limit the costs incurred by operators when connecting cross-border calls.
