30/06/2023 (Agence Europe) – Initially scheduled for Monday 3 July, the first meeting of discussions between the European Union’s main institutions and bodies, which was supposed to lead to the setting up of a European Ethics Body (see EUROPE 13197/14), has been rescheduled for Friday 7 July, officially because the European College of Commissioners is travelling to Madrid for the inauguration of the Spanish Presidency of the EU Council. The identity of the MEP(s) who will represent the European Parliament is not yet known, as a decision by the Conference of Presidents of the political groups (CoP) is required. European Parliament rapporteur on this dossier, Daniel Freund (Greens/EFA, German) wishes to continue his involvement in this dossier. (MB)
