06/06/2023 (Agence Europe) – According to a Council Decision published in the Official Journal of the European Union on Tuesday 6 June, the EULEX Kosovo mission will not only cooperate with the relevant EU agencies, judicial agencies and law enforcement agencies in the Member States and third countries in order to carry out its mandate but it will also help Kosovo’s law enforcement agencies to develop their capacity to exchange information with their regional and international counterparts in the field of judicial assistance and cooperation in criminal matters. The decision also specifies that the budget to cover EULEX Kosovo expenditure from 15 June 2023 to 14 June 2025 is €165.31 million, including €58.5 million for mandate implementation and €106.81 million to cover support for judicial proceedings transferred to The Hague.
