A new EU Civilian CSDP Compact

The EU ‘Foreign Affairs’ Council adopted, on Monday 22 May, a new Civilian CSDP Compact to improve the adaptability and responsiveness of the EU’s civilian CSDP missions to their theatres of operation.

This strategic document includes twenty commitments to be implemented by 2027 at the latest. In particular, the EU will have to be able to mobilise and deploy 200 experts on the ground within one month to respond to a possible emergency faced by a civilian CSDP mission. For this...
