On Monday 8 May, MEPs debated a proposal for a new basket of own resources for the EU budget at Parliament’s plenary session in Strasbourg, backed by co-rapporteurs Valérie Hayer (Renew Europe, French) and José Manuel Fernandes (EPP, Portuguese) (see EUROPE B13177A11, B13164A28), ahead of the vote on Wednesday 10 May.
