European Parliament’s Committee on Employment and Social Affairs calls on Commission to set minimum conditions for pay and social protection

The European Parliament’s Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (EMPL) adopted a resolution by 36 votes to 3 with 4 abstentions, on Monday 8 May in Strasbourg, calling on the European Commission to propose a directive on quality traineeships in the EU.

Traineeships in the EU should ensure decent living standards by offering adequate remuneration and be more accessible, stressed MEPs in approving the report by Monica Semedo (Renew Europe, Luxembourger).
