66 research projects selected by ERC will benefit from nearly €10 million in European funding

The European Research Council (ERC) unveiled, on Friday 5 May, the results of the first deadline for 2023 of its Proof of Concept grant scheme.

66 projects will share nearly €10 million. They will each be eligible for a grant of up to €150,000 from Horizon Europe, the EU’s framework programme for research and development.

122 proposals were considered for this selection.

This grant scheme is aimed at researchers who are currently funded or have previously been funded by the ERC.

This funding will allow the 66 beneficiaries to explore the commercial or societal potential of the results of their research projects.

The next deadline for this grant programme is 21 September 2023.
