MEPs adopt position on organic pet food labelling

The European Parliament’s Agriculture Committee adopted its position on new rules for labelling organic pet food on Tuesday 25 April.

The report by Martin Häusling (Greens/EFA, German) on this dossier was adopted with 45 votes in favour, one against and one abstention.

To avoid wasting products and packaging materials, MEPs propose a six-month transitional period during which the current stock of organic pet food could be sold without the new mandatory EU organic logo being added to its...
