EU Member States definitively adopt regulation creating ‘Social Climate Fund’

25/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 25 April, the European Ministers for Agriculture and Fisheries, meeting in Luxembourg, definitively adopted the parameters of the ‘Social Climate Fund’ (see EUROPE B13165A34), with Poland and Belgium abstaining and Finland voting against. The Fund will accompany the socio-economic impact of the extension of the ETS (the carbon trading system) to road transport and buildings from 2027 (‘ETS2’).
