20/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 19 April, after the European Parliament (see EUROPE 13164/12), the Committee of the Permanent Representatives of the Governments of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) approved the provisional agreement on the regulation that will establish a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). The EU Ministers of Agriculture and Fisheries are expected to formally adopt the text on Tuesday 25 April, allowing it to enter into force. (LM)
