European Commission rejects Warsaw’s request to stop daily fines imposed by EU Court of Justice

13/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday, 13 April, the European Commission indicated that, last week, it had once again asked the Polish government—in a letter from Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders—to pay the daily fines of €1 million that the Court of Justice of the EU imposed at the end of 2021 in the matter of the disciplinary chamber of the [Polish] Supreme Court (see EUROPE B13057A29).
