1,607 post-doctoral researchers receive European certificate of excellence for their project

06/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Wednesday 5 April that it will award European ‘Seal of Excellence’ certificates under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions to 1,607 researchers who submitted proposals to the 2022 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships programme. These certificates are awarded to research projects that have achieved a score of at least 85% during the project evaluation phase, but have not been able to receive funding from Horizon Europe due to budget limitations. For the European Commission, these certificates provide a guarantee to host institutes of the high quality of the projects, which have been assessed independently. In addition, they should support holders’ applications for alternative funds.
