Strong participation in EIC call offering European support to innovative, high-risk projects

17/03/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 17 March, the European Innovation Council (EIC) announced the first results of its EIC Pathfinder Open call, which closed on 7 March. The call is designed to support high-risk, high-gain interdisciplinary projects in the advanced science and technology fields under Horizon Europe. Seven hundred and eighty-eight project proposals with 4,758 participants from 55 countries were submitted. The EIC is expected to announce that around 60 projects have been selected in August. The selected projects will share a budget of approximately €179.5 million. The next EIC Pathfinder opportunities will be open under the EIC Pathfinder Challenges from 20 June to 18 October.
