20/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commissioner for Culture, Mariya Gabriel, will host the first round table of high-level representatives of the cultural and creative sectors and industries (CCSI) in Europe on Tuesday 21 February. The aim is to strengthen the whole network and to set up a platform for direct communication between stakeholders. These round tables will be held in Brussels and the next meetings are scheduled for April and June 2023. In addition, the European Commission highlights the “higher than ever” budget allocated to support of CCSIs, with €2.44 billion under Creative Europe, 1.84 billion dedicated to culture within Horizon Europe and more than 10 billion targeting CCSIs in the National Recovery and Resilience Plans for the period 2021-2027.
