Fine upheld for Lithuanian railways for abusing their dominant position

The Court of Justice of the European Union confirmed, in a judgment on Thursday 12 January (Case C-42/21 P), the fine imposed in October 2017 on Lietuvos geležinkeliai, the national railway company in Lithuania, for abuse of a dominant position on the freight market (see EUROPE B11874A7), which the EU General Court reduced to €20 million in November 2020.
