MEPs endorse two European Parliament/EU Council provisional agreements on modernisation of justice

On Thursday 12 January, MEPs on the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) adopted two provisional agreements reached with the Czech Presidency of the EU Council in December on two texts of the ‘justice modernisation’ package. These are the regulation establishing a platform for collaboration on joint investigation teams (JITs) (see EUROPE B13083A19) and the regulation on the exchange of information in terrorist cases (see EUROPE B13085A16).
