MEPs approve agreement with EU Council on ELTIF funds

12/01/2023 (Agence Europe) – With 42 votes in favour, 9 against and 2 abstentions, MEPs in the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) on Thursday 12 January confirmed the Interinstitutional Agreement on the European long-term investment fund (ELTIF) (see EUROPE B13047A20). The aim is to make these hitherto little-used investment funds more attractive in order to stimulate the financing of long-term projects such as infrastructure, real estate or SMEs throughout the EU.
