10/01/2023 (Agence Europe) – Some 47,700 young European citizens will be offered a travel pass under the DiscoverEU programme, the European Commission announced on Tuesday 10 January. The successful applicants from the 162,931 participants - aged 18 or over - will be able to travel alone or in groups of five between March 2023 and February 2024 within the EU Member States and the countries associated with the ‘Erasmus+’ programme. Most of these journeys will be by train, except for participants living in remote or island areas. In addition, a discount card for cultural activities has also been added to the ticket offered.
