09/01/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 12 January the European Parliament will invite photojournalist Amber Bracken to the closing event of the exhibition “ICONIC - defending freedom and democracy since 1955”. Located in the European Parliament’s Info Hub, the exhibition presents a selection of photographs that won the World Press Photo Award between 1955 and 2022. These capture some of the defining moments of history: resistance to racism, modern migration, the human cost of conflict, etc. Amber Bracken won the 2022 edition for a photograph showing red robes hanging from crosses along a road to remember the children who died at the Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia, Canada. She will be interviewed by presenter Nadia Moussaid and will illustrate the exhibition with a guided tour. To participate in the event: https://aeur.eu/f/4tj (HS)
