Volodymyr Zelensky announces that 3 February summit will be held in Kyiv

03/01/2023 (Agence Europe)Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Monday 2 January that the EU-Ukraine summit, scheduled for 3 February, would be held in Kyiv. The EU had announced this summit on 22 December without specifying where it would be held (see EUROPE 13090/25). “The parties discussed the expected results of the upcoming Ukraine-EU summit to be held on 3 February in Kyiv and agreed to intensify preparatory work”, President Zelensky’s office said in a statement issued after a telephone conversation between Zelensky and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The spokesperson for the President of the European Council could not confirm the location of the summit, which is expected to bring together the Ukrainian President, the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission.
