EU leaders approve granting Sarajevo EU candidate status

15/12/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 15 December, the European Council agreed to grant Bosnia and Herzegovina candidate status for EU membership. It thus confirmed the decision of the General Affairs Council of 13 December (see EUROPE B13083A24), whereby this status will be granted as the measures specified in the Commission’s recommendation of October 2022 have been taken.
