02/12/2022 (Agence Europe) – Visiting Tokyo, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Japan on behalf of the European Union on Friday 2 December to establish cooperation between the two sides to develop an international market for renewable and low-carbon hydrogen. The protocol sets out a range of areas in which EU and Japanese governments, businesses, research institutes and local authorities will be encouraged to work together, such as the development of common standards and certifications, research and development, and vocational education and training (including through exchanges).
