16/11/2022 (Agence Europe)The European Commission launched on Wednesday 16 November the network of Young European Ambassadors to promote Holocaust Remembrance as part of its first EU Civil Society Forum on combating antisemitism. Both are flagship measures of the EU Strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life (see EUROPE 12805/26). The network’s objective is to promote access to reliable information about the Holocaust and to fight against online disinformation. The Forum will aim to link projects from different Member States. “By the end of this year, the Commission will make €20 million available to fighting all forms of discrimination, racism and antisemitism and €10 million to support initiatives on Holocaust remembrance”, also promised the Commission Vice-President, Margarítis Schinás.
