14/09/2022 (Agence Europe) – The year 2023 will be the year of professional qualifications, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen suggested on Wednesday 14 September, in her State of the Union address. “We need to invest much more in further training” and “better match” the wishes of job seekers with the needs of employers, she added. “In addition, we want to recruit qualified personnel from abroad in a more targeted manner, which strengthens companies and European growth here”, she said. “Europe must become more attractive to those who have skills and want to invest”. New legal labour mobility partnerships are expected to be launched with several North African countries at the end of the year. (SP)
