EU helps Czech Republic fight forest fire

26/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission confirmed on Tuesday 26 July that the Czech Republic had requested assistance under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism and already received help to fight the fire in the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, bordering Germany. “The Czech Republic activated the Civil Protection Mechanism today and a helicopter has already been made available”, said a Commission spokeswoman, adding that the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC)...
