15/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – The Administrative Committee of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) announced, on Thursday 14 July, the creation of local and regional divisions of its Court of First Instance, upon oral request by Member States. These divisions will be located in Austria (Vienna), Belgium (Brussels), Denmark (Copenhagen), Finland (Helsinki), France (Paris), Germany (Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Mannheim and Munich), Italy (Milan), the Netherlands (The Hague), Slovenia (Ljubljana) and Portugal (Lisbon). The Nordic and Baltic regional division will be located mainly in Sweden (Stockholm). With regard to the UPC Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre, the Committee adopted the organisational regulations of the Centre, which will be established with seats in Ljubljana and Lisbon.
