The General Court of the European Union has upheld the November 2019 decision of the European Central Bank, acting as the single supervisor within the euro area banking union, to withdraw the authorisation of Austrian credit institution Anglo Austrian AAB (AAB Bank) on the recommendation of the Austrian banking supervisor for serious deficiencies in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing, in a judgment handed down on Wednesday 22 June (Case T-797/19) (see EUROPE...
