MEPs support appointment of new member from Netherlands

23/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament gave a favourable opinion on Thursday 23 June on the Council of the European Union’s proposal to appoint Stephanus Abraham Blok of the Netherlands as a member of the EU Court of Auditors. Mr Blok’s candidature was supported with 414 votes in favour, 112 against and 57 abstentions after a favourable opinion from the European Parliament’s Committee on Budgetary Control on 15 June.
