New European Parliament Special Committee on Foreign Interference keeps same bureau as previous committee

12/05/2022 (Agence Europe)The Special Committee on Foreign Interference (INGE 2) elected its Bureau on Thursday 12 May, which is identical in every respect to that of the INGE 1 Committee. Thus, Raphaël Glucksmann (S&D, France) remains Chair of the Committee. Javier Zarzalejos (EPP, Spain), Morten Løkkegaard (Renew Europe, Denmark), Dace Melbārde (ECR, Latvia) and Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz (S&D, Poland) were also re-elected as Vice-Chairs. The vote was by acclamation and there were no other candidates. The political groups have also appointed their coordinators. They are Slovenia’s Vladimír Bilčík for the EPP, Italy’s Pierfrancesco Majorino for the S&D, France’s Nathalie Loiseau for Renew Europe, the Czech Republic’s Markéta Gregorová for the Greens/EFA, Italy’s Marco Dreosto for ID, Poland’s Ryszard Czarnecki for the ECR, and Ireland’s Clare Daly for The Left.
