05/04/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Monday, 4 April, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, congratulated Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on his re-election the previous day with almost 60% of the votes in the first round. “Let’s continue our close cooperation to deepen the EU-Serbia partnership and advancing our common agenda and the enlargement negotiations”, he said on Twitter. On Tuesday 5, Commissioner for Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi and High Representative of the Union Josep Borrell welcomed the participation of all political forces in the elections and encouraged the new Parliament and political leaders to continue working towards a genuine and constructive dialogue (https://aeur.eu/f/13z ).
