Eurogroup supports early repayment of IMF loans by Athens

The president of the Eurogroup, Paschal Donohoe, described on Friday 25 February as a “very important achievement” the new early repayment that the Greek authorities will make on loans from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the ‘Greek Loan Facility’.

This early repayment, which will be effective at the end of 2022, relates to loans for which the principal must be repaid before the end of 2023.
