Brussels, 15/02/2022 (Agence Europe) – TheAssociation for Emissions Control by Catalyst (AECC) called on the European Commission on Tuesday 15 February to be ambitious and clear about the future ‘Euro 7’ emissions legislation for light and heavy duty vehicles. “There is an urgent need for a clear roadmap to provide certainty to the automotive sector”, said the AECC in a statement. The AECC has also called for a “rapid” implementation of the ‘Euro 7’ standards and has deplored the fact that the European Commission has postponed examination of this proposal within the college of Commissioners until July 2022. “This delay is of great concern to our European emissions control industry since it will mean further delays in adopting the process, including the possible implementation date”, added the AECC.
