EU Council endorses regulations on fish catch limits in 2022

28/01/2022 (Agence Europe) – The Council of the EU formally adopted, by written procedure expiring on Thursday 27 January, the two regulations on fishing opportunities in 2022 in relation to European vessels (see EUROPE 12853/5). The first regulation (adopted unanimously) concerns total allowable catches (TACs) and quotas for 2022 in the Atlantic, Channel and North Sea (https://bit.ly/3HcUeEy ) and the second concerns catches in Mediterranean waters (https://bit.ly/3KS5Dfl ). 26 delegations voted in favour of the Mediterranean Regulation and only one voted against it.
