24/01/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 24 January, the European Banking Authority (EBA) published the final version of its draft implementing technical standards on disclosure of environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks. This project sets out mandatory and consistent disclosure requirements, including granular templates, tables and associated instructions. It will put forward comparable disclosures to show how climate change may exacerbate other risks on the balance sheets of banking groups, how these financial institutions are mitigating these risks, and their ratios on exposures financing activities aligned with the EU taxonomy. In the long run, the standards will also help to establish best practice at an international level, the EBA said. More info: https://bit.ly/3qVFlRp (MB)
