European Commission approves 2022–2027 regional aid map for Italy

02/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday, 2 December, the European Commission approved, under EU State aid rules, Italy’s map for granting regional aid—valid from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2027—within the framework of the revised Regional Aid Guidelines. The revised guidelines will enter into force on 1 January 2022. The Italian regional aid map lists the regions in Italy that are eligible for regional investment aid and also establishes the maximum aid intensities in the eligible regions. Regions covering 41.99% of Italy’s population will be eligible for regional investment aid. (LC)
