26/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 26 November, Commission Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič has yet to announce an agreement with the UK government over proposed changes to the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland in relation to medicines, after meeting once more with his counterpart, David Frost. The exchanges will continue and the two men will meet again “next week” in Brussels, he briefly summarised on Twitter. A “decisive push is needed to ensure predictability”, said the Vice-President. “We would still like to find a negotiated solution. But the gap between our positions is still significant and we are ready to use Article 16 to protect the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement if other solutions cannot be found”, repeated the British Minister once again.
