17/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 17 November, the European Commission announced the launch of the first round of calls for proposals under the Digital Europe programme in the areas of cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, artificial intelligence (AI) and European digital innovation hubs (see EUROPE 12830/10). Proposals for cloud infrastructure and AI development will receive €415 million in grants, and cybersecurity will receive €43 million in grants under the work programme until the end of 2022. The calls are open to “companies, organisations and public administrations from the EU Member States, as well as entities from other countries associated with the Digital Europe programme”, the Commission recalls.
