EU provides €700,000 humanitarian aid to support people stranded at EU border

17/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 16 November the European Union allocated €700,000 in emergency humanitarian aid to help migrants stranded on the Belarusian side of the border with the EU (see EUROPE B12832A1). The first €200,000 of the package will be channelled through the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), particularly the Belarusian Red Cross, and will be used to provide food, emergency and hygiene kits and blankets.
